Most tubing benders cost upwards of $500, and an additional 75$ to ship! This project cost me less than $70 to build. (the price can be even lower if you have access to some scrap metal). The most expensive part in tubing benders are the two dies that do the bending (80% total cost). I have discovered a way to make low-cost dies with plate steel and some off the shelf parts. A list of prices for each part

I build a tubing bender that bends 1.25" pipe in this report, but you can use any size die for this project, everything from 1" to 2.5" can be used with the bender design. Here's an example of this finished bender at work with some of our customer feedback!
